Everybody deserves healing touch and finding the right practitioner is important. At my Holistic Massage Studio in Fremantle, my emphasis is on releasing Stress and Tension, however, I focus on your needs, whatever they may be, on any particular day. Some sessions may be more specific for the treatment of headaches or back pain or a chronic condition. Whilst some sessions may be more restorative; deeper, relaxing and energy balancing. What ever the requirement of your Massage and Bodywork Session, my intention is always the same, to serve you and facilitate body, mind and soul harmony.
How often should you I a massage?
This is a question that I get asked all the time. The frequency of massage varies based upon personal preference and reason for receiving bodywork. For some people, once a week is regular, for others once a year feels right. It’s important to listen to your own body and work out what feels right for you, whether it’s a few times a month or a few times a year. If you find yourself feeling long overdue for a massage, then it has been too long since your last session.
If you are healthy and seek massage for general wellness and maintenance rather than specific treatment, then 1-2 times per month is a good rule of thumb.
For people living with chronic pain or injury, weekly massage is a good idea until improvements are lasting more than a week. Many people find that after a few weeks of weekly massage, they are ready to decrease to every two weeks and so on until they are at the frequency they prefer.
• listen to your body
• come before you are desperately in need of massage
• schedule weekly or fortnightly to make progress with chronic pain or tension issues
• schedule monthly for maintenance and wellness
• ask me if you are still unsure
Determining your Massage frequency is really about listening to your body’s needs in relation to the treatment received. My current schedule in Fremantle is starting to fill up quickly, with Massage and Reflexology appointments booking out on Saturdays a few weeks in advance. My suggestion is to plan and book appointments ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
